TunnelPad

Install

TunnelPad is a single self-contained file for macOS, Linux and Windows. It doesn't need PHP or anything else.

macOS and Linux

curl -fsSL https://tunnelpad.com/install.sh | sh

The script picks the build for your system, checks it against the release's checksums and installs tunnelpad to /usr/local/bin, or ~/.local/bin if that isn't writable. To choose the folder:

curl -fsSL https://tunnelpad.com/install.sh | TUNNELPAD_DIR=~/bin sh

Windows

Download tunnelpad-windows-x86_64.exe from the download page, rename it to tunnelpad.exe and put it in a folder on your PATH.

With PHP

If you'd rather run it with your own PHP (8.3 or later), download tunnelpad.phar and run php tunnelpad.phar share 8000.

tunnelpad login

This shows a short code and opens tunnelpad.com in your browser. Approve the code and the command saves a token in ~/.tunnelpad/config.json. (On a server without a browser, use tunnelpad login --no-browser and open the link it prints on another device.)

You can also create a token on the Tokens page and save it with tunnelpad token <token>.

Updating

tunnelpad share tells you when there's a new version. To install it:

tunnelpad self-update

It downloads the new build, checks its checksum and replaces the old one. tunnelpad self-update --check only tells you whether there's an update.
