Introduction
TunnelPad gives a site running on your computer a public HTTPS address, such as https://acme.tunnelpad.dev. Anyone with the link reaches your local site, through an encrypted connection your computer keeps open to a TunnelPad server.
Use it to:
- receive webhooks from Stripe, GitHub, Shopify or anything else while you develop, and inspect and replay them;
- show a client work in progress without deploying it;
- test on a real phone: scan the QR code and the site opens;
- test OAuth and payment flows that need a public HTTPS callback URL.
How it works

The tunnelpad command connects to a TunnelPad server and asks for an address. Requests to that address travel to your computer through the connection, are sent to your local site, and the response goes back the same way. Nothing is stored on our servers, and closing the command closes the tunnel.
